Hey, Rocky!
Let's tell my friends
about our trip to the
North Carolina and Georgia mountains.
"If a dose of tranquility is what you seek--Go park beside a mountain creek--Sharing your friendship is the way to go--So reach out your hand and say "Hello"-- A goodwill gesture should never offend--But turn a stranger into a friend--To view wildlife in our world today--You sometimes have to go out of your way--To reach the wilderness where the Elk are kept--There are sometimes dangers we must accept--In maintaining our health we should all eat fruit--That is a fact i do not dispute--But fruit doesn't have to come from a tree--It can be sweetly created by you and me--Kind words of encouragement in a time of need--Can be just as healthy, yes indeed--Among the beautiful moments that i do recall--Is the Blue Ridge Parkway in the fall--The joys you are sharing will never bring sorrows--Just precious memories for all your tomorrows!!"

Highlights of Waynesville, N.C. feature Old Time Music and the Mast General Store.
We traveled on a treacherous road
to get to Cataloochee Valley
to see ELK.
People with "side of the road" phobia should BEWARE!!!
DON'T DO IT --- wait to see elk when they come out on DVD!

Kinda tricky to get down to see the falls. But, Papa & Mom were determined.
Worth the trip, don't you think?
